Credence is seeking a highly motivated Acquisition Specialist to support the Acquisition Corps - Force Modernization & Enterprise (AC FME) within Space Systems Command (SSC), headquartered at Los Angeles Space Force Base. This role provides critical acquisition, programmatic, and analytical support to one of the U.S. Space Force's most strategically important organizations, enabling the development, integration, and delivery of advanced space capabilities to the warfighter. The Acquisition Specialist will work closely with government program offices, contracting teams, engineers, financial analysts, and senior leaders to ensure acquisition activities are executed effectively, compliantly, and in alignment with USSF and DoD policies. Responsibilities included, but are not limited to the duties listed below
- Support endtoend acquisition activities across the AC FME portfolio, including requirements development, acquisition planning, solicitation preparation, source selection, contract award, and postaward management
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and coordinating acquisition documentation such as Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, Justification & Approvals (J&A), IGCEs, and Source Selection materials
- Track program milestones, risks, schedules, and deliverables; support the development of program briefs, decision papers, and leadership updates
- Conduct market research, industry engagement preparation, and analysis to support acquisition strategy development
- Coordinate with contracting officers, program managers, engineers, logisticians, and financial personnel to ensure acquisition actions are timely, accurate, and aligned with program objectives
- Support compliance with DoD 5000 series, Space Force acquisition policies, FAR/DFARS, and SSCspecific guidance.
- Maintain auditready acquisition records, documentation repositories, and contract files
- Assist in preparing responses to data calls from SSC leadership, the Department of the Air Force, OSD, and other oversight bodies
- Provide process improvement recommendations to enhance acquisition efficiency, transparency, and execution across AC FME

- Active DoD Secret clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Acquisition, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or federal acquisition programs, preferably within a program office or contracting environment
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DoD 5000 series, and government acquisition lifecycle processes
- Experience preparing or coordinating acquisition documentation and supporting contract actions
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information for senior audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaborative environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Space Systems Command, U.S. Space Force, or other DoD space acquisition organizations
- Familiarity with SSC's acquisition processes, tools, and documentation standards
- Experience with ACAT programs, rapid acquisition pathways, or classified program environments
- Professional certifications such as DAWIA/DAU, FACC, or PMP
