May occasionally exercise minimal discretion and judgment in execution and interpretation of experiments, and of data derived.

Mouse Model of Brain Stimulation Therapies

Position Overview

Seeking a researchtechnicianto support basic neuroscience studies on the use of brain stimulation therapies for restoring function in mouse models of neuropsychiatric disease. This role is ideal for someone considering graduate school, MD/PhD or a neuroscience research career, but is interested in spending at least 2 years in a full-time research position.

The role will be full-time in person and will entail executing mouse research protocols and data analysis. The position requires someone who is highly attentive to detail, comfortable learning new hands-on-skills, and a proactive communicator. This role is best suited to high performers who are comfortable working independently in the lab - owning experimental workflows from generating experimental animals to collecting and analyzing data.

About the Role

The Goldberg Lab is an interdisciplinary group of neuroscientists studying the biology of seizures. This role is specifically to support projects related to the use of therapeutic seizure induction, also known as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), for treating epilepsy and behavioral deficits in mouse models of neuropsychiatric disease. This position sits at the interface ofin vivophysiology, advanced behavioral testing, and molecular neuroscience, and will directly contribute to publications and grant-funded projects
