What to Expect
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Associate Production Control Manager to join our production control team at Gigafactory Texas. In this critical role, you will develop and lead a high-performing team of supervisors, operators, and technicians to manage spare parts inventory control. This position requires mental agility, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Prioritize and enforce safety and conduct policies to maintain a secure work environment for all employees
- Build, mentor, and continuously develop a strong, motivated team of material handling personnel, including supervisors, capable of delivering high-quality results
- Organize and manage spares and service outbound activities to align with organizational needs, plans, and production schedules
- Monitor, report, and drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs, inventory accuracy, and operational targets; conduct daily process audits to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures
- Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., maintenance, production, quality, engineering, inventory control, and logistics) to synchronize activities, resolve issues, and ensure seamless execution
- Facilitate the development and deployment of standardized work practices, including 5S methodologies for warehouse and loading areas, to address identified gaps and promote consistency across shifts
- Implement processes for accurate spares and service inventory cycle counts, while driving continuous improvement through problem-solving and accountability
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment; manufacturing or supply chain experience strongly preferred, with development program exposure as a plus
- Bachelor's degreeor equivalent experiencein a technical discipline demonstrating exceptional abilities in warehouse, distribution, or production control settings
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform under high pressure, with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Experience creatively developing and tracking production performance metrics (e.g., labor efficiency, trailer management, scrap reduction, transaction accuracy, downtime)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated success in fostering team development, troubleshooting operational issues, and driving resolutions to achieve financial and operational targets
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work shifts as production ramps up to meet business demands
