Position Summary

Key individual contributor responsible for helping to manage and support current new business opportunities. This role will work with current and potential direct and indirect Industrial customers, the Industrial sales team and customer service team, and work within the New Product Commercialization process to promote utilization of new technologies as well as current technologies, products and services to meet customer needs and to determine how the company's capabilities can be leveraged into additional markets.

Responsibilities

  • Help support the outside Industrial Refrigeration Sales Team
  • Help support the west coast outside sales rep companies
  • Develop quotes for customers
  • Help Customer service determine appropriate model codes
  • EDI quote responsibility
  • Relationship builder through trust, accountability, and ability to get things done for the customer, the person everyone wants to work with.
  • Team leader/player in pulling the right people together to solve problems for the customer
  • Ability to reach out and gain connections, identifies problems, and generates new sales.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs.
  • Research and document new technologies which may assist in growth of the division.
  • Develop business models for the technologies which include projected sales, potential market penetration, gross margins, risk analysis, and business feasibility.
  • Develops and maintains strong client relationships with customers and end users.
  • Ensures Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages and benefits.
  • Keeps up with internal and external training and development.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis.
  • Keeps management aware of changes which would affect the distribution of Parker products.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.
  • Assist the divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and service required for their assigned accounts.
  • Actively support cross divisional and group product with proper referral.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical / engineering discipline with associate level degree and a minimum of 5 years related technical experience.
  • Innovative / creative background and capabilities
  • Premier customer service mentality and proven track record.
  • Ability to develop solutions to customer problems and translate the solutions into business development strategies and products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $76350 to $127400 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
