We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and strengthen all core accounting functions with a strong emphasis on operational accounting, process ownership, and system-driven efficiencies. This role is responsible for overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and General Accounting, while supporting payroll continuity and owning the full month-end close process, including balance sheet review.

This position plays a critical role in driving end-to-end accounting operations, improving workflows, ensuring data integrity, and leveraging ERP systems to support a multi-division environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Accounting Leadership



  • Lead daily accounting operations across AP, AR, Billing, and General Accounting with a focus on full-cycle, hands-on execution
  • Own and manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations and full balance sheet review
  • Support payroll processing as a backup, ensuring continuity and accuracy
  • Ensure accurate transaction flow from sub-ledgers through financial reporting


Process Improvement & Controls



  • Drive process optimization, automation, and standardization across accounting functions
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and identify inefficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
  • Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks within accounting workflows


Systems & ERP Management



  • Leverage and optimize ERP systems to improve accounting accuracy, reporting, and efficiency
  • Partner with internal teams to enhance system integrations and reduce manual processes
  • Ensure proper data governance, classification, and consistency across systems
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and modernization initiatives


Team Leadership & Development



  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, promoting cross-training and growth
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner with FP&A and operational teams to support reporting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Act as primary liaison for external audits and ensure audit readiness
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information flow



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong operational accounting focus
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close ownership
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems
