Position Summary

To help lead the Corporate Logistics & Transportation Department with implementing transportation strategies, leveraging technology tools, and collaborating across teams to solve complex transportation challenges.

Position will directly report to the manager - North America Logistics & Transportation. This position will have frequent interaction with all levels of Parker employees, suppliers and customers.

Spend: $53 million

Your Role:

• Lead logistics support for assigned groups and divisions, ensuring alignment with Parker's overall Win Strategy
• Manage transportation activities across multiple modes including truckload, intermodal and ground expedite, overseeing a freight spend exceeding $53M
• Administer the outsourced freight payment program for assigned groups and transportation modes
• Support freight audit, payment, and reporting processes for US freight
• Conduct benchmarking studies using leading industry tools (e.g., DAT) to optimize transportation performance
• Owns the pricing/rate negotiation discussion and final agreements with freight suppliers for modes assigned

• Manage and contribute to various logistics projects and continuous improvement efforts

  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree (BA) in Supply Chain Management or related field
• Industry relevant certifications desired (i.e. APICS)
• 1+ years logistics/supply chain experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Assertive, strong initiative, highly organized, customer focused
• Collaborative in a matrix oriented environment
• This role does not qualify for Visa sponsorship or relocation
