The Paint Application Engineer manages the Pretreatment and Electro-deposition process area for new vehicle programs. The Specialist will develop as well as implement short and long term strategies and policies to facilitate meeting or exceeding FCA quality /efficiency goals. The person in this position works closely with numerous related departments within the organization such as Environment Health and Safety, Materials and Corrosion as well as the manufacturing plants. The Supervisor also represents paint operations in many forums such as IH Reviews or Plant Launch Meetings. This position works closely with the skilled trades and production team members, in order to improve performance and quality processes in the paint department. The Specialist will support paint operations in connection with World Class Technology (WCT) and Stellantis Production Way initiatives such as Early Equipment, Autonomous and Professional maintenance, Work Place Organization, Logistics, and Focused Problem Solving.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in paint manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge and/or experience in PT/ E-coat, sealer application & materials, powder/prime & topcoat prep and finesse processing & materials
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:


  • CAD Experience
