THE ROLE:

We are looking for a leader to drive strategic business development for our Enterprise Server business, focused on partnerships with ISVs and end customers in the Oil & Gas vertical segment. This role will lead efforts to deliver growth across AMD EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs for Enterprise IT deployments as well as next generation Enterprise AI opportunities. This leader will be responsible for the overall strategy, strategic ISV partnerships, competitive positioning and value prop development, and leading our sales and marketing teams to grow pipeline and drive growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and implement key strategies to grow AMD's server business in Oil & Gas by driving a solutions-based approach spanning CPU, GPU and software.
  • Build and convert the Oil & Gas pipeline via deep partnerships with Oil & Gas Producers, Operators, ISVs and ecosystem partners.
  • Develop compelling solution sets tied to key industry use cases and HPC workloads (e.g., asset monitoring, remote operations, reservoir simulation, predictive maintenance, worker safety, video/AI inspection, etc.) and develop joint value propositions and go-to-market plans to accelerate business growth.
  • Incubate vertical specific solutions, POCs and pilots by orchestrating activities across partner teams (product, engineering, sales, and marketing). Develop scalable, repeatable offers with reference architectures and supporting collaterals.
  • Work with Server OEMs, Server systems channel, and GSIs, to converge on solutions and help address end customer needs.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to enable with targeted plays, collateral, and training to grow AMD's server business in Oil & Gas.
  • Identify customer challenges and translate into a compelling value proposition, ideally from chip-level technology into system level solutions.
  • Develop relationships across the sales teams to identify/build harmonious approach to broadening AMD's business in key accounts.
  • Be the voice of the customer and AMD expert on the Oil & Gas industry. Represent AMD at key industry events; deliver compelling narratives, demos, and win stories; build advocacy with analysts and standards groups

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in a comparable role, owning the success of driving verticals and workloads focused approach.
  • Technical Experience: an established background in datacenter business with progressive experience in key verticals within and across an organization.
  • Customer Experience: strong historical interaction and relationship building within the Oil & Gas industry.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred. MBA is a plus.
