Position Summary The Sterile Processing Technician provides sterile equipment and supplies to Boynton Health departments. This work includes decontamination, cleaning, sterilization and processing of supplies and equipment, following guidelines from federal and state agencies, manufacturer and clinic infection control. This position is responsible for working independently and with team members to ensure that all instrumentation is properly decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, and/or high level disinfected. All instruments must be distributed, tracked and stored in a safe, secure, aseptic and timely manner throughout the clinic. Overview of Responsibilities Technical

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, sit, push, pull, use hands and fingers, hold, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance, occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds with assistance, Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Hourly Pay Range: $23.89 - $27.98; depending on education/qualifications/experience. Pay range is non-negotiable.
