Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Submarine Communications and Electronics Surveillance Senior Advanced Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. We lead the charge in US NAVY VIRGINIA Submarine Weapons System Accuracy Trials (WSAT) test planning, execution, and report generation, as well as Submarine Test and Evaluation (T&E) support and data collection. Our dedicated T&E Team collaborates closely with the NAVY, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) to ensure the fleet assets are tested and battle ready.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Plans the technical approach, resources, schedule, budget, and equipment required for testing.
  • Evaluating new Submarine Communications and Surveillance systems, products, and special devices
  • Travel is required roughly 20% of the time.
  • Perform technical writing to include test procedures, plans and reports.
  • Support various working groups and meetings.
  • Capability to plan, test and report results of Communications, Electronic Surveillance, and other related systems onboard US NAVY Submarines in accordance with manufacturing and government specifications.
  • Considered expert in Submarine Communications and Electronics Surveillance field within the organization.

What sets you apart:

  • Proficiency in Submarine Communication and Electronic Surveillance System testing and analysis.
  • 15-20 years of Submarine Operational experience.
  • VIRGINIA Class Submarine Operational experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
  • Communication Security (COMSEC) Management experience.
  • US Navy Submarine Communication and Electronic Surveillance System experience is required.
  • Requirement to support at-sea US NAVY platform testing.
  • Passport for foreign travel.
  • Currently hold or have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to work independently with US NAVY fleet personnel without supervision.

Target salary range: USD $133,120.00/Yr. - USD $144,040.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
