Position Summary

Perform all duties necessary to the efficient operation of all equipment in the plant. Operate and maintain plant equipment in accordance with standard work and building procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Continue to keep current in skills through training, classes and on the job training

  • Must be capable of setting-up and operating Monoblock Assembly Cell equipment

    • Automated Bending (804, 805, 806, 807, 808)

    • Manual Bending (113, 313, 1220, and 214)

    • Crimping (Rousselle crimpers 928, 933, and 139)

    • Flaring (243)

    • Packing

  • Able to interact with Production and Inventory Control (P&IC), Engineering, Quality, Cell Leader, Value Stream Team Leader and other plant operations at all times.
  • Must be capable of conducting and evaluating destructive testing along with visual checks so necessary adjustments to the set-up can be made to produce a quality part.
  • Be able to identify, analyze, and evaluate machine and material problems

  • Able to make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment and machines when necessary, including effectively trouble shooting equipment issues

  • Actively participate in department team projects and activities

  • Assist the department supervisor with continuous improvement efforts

  • Other duties may be assigned at a later time

  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior machine set-up experience preferred
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Sound decision making skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
