Overview:

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Field Surveyor to join our team in Cromwell, CT. This role will be a combination of field survey and office support, with an initial focus on fieldwork. You’ll work closely with survey teams to collect data, support project execution, and build foundational skills in both field operations and CAD.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the survey party chief with daily field operations, including data collection, property monumentation, and construction staking.
  • Support property, topographic, and right-of-way surveys, as well as laser scanning efforts.
  • Learn to operate survey equipment such as robotic total stations, survey levels, GPS/GNSS systems, and laser scanners.
  • Ensure field vehicles are properly equipped, organized, and ready for daily use.
  • Download and process field data and gain exposure to CAD and drafting fundamentals.

Requirements:

What You Bring



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in land surveying, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • 0-4 years of survey related AutoCAD or Civil3D experience preferred.
  • Relevant field or survey experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license required.



Physical Requirements



  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Mobility and dexterity to set up equipment and operate tools.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
