Shape Communities Through Innovative Land Development Solutions IMEG is seeking a Civil Project Engineer specializing in land development to join our team in Warrenton, VA. In this role, you will assist in leading the planning, design, permitting, and execution of a variety of civil site development projects while collaborating closely with project managers, clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary design teams. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial concept through construction while developing client relationships and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with strong technical expertise in land development, permitting, and site design who is ready to play a key role in delivering impactful projects throughout Northern Virginia. What You'll Bring Required Skills & Abilities * Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles related to land development, site design, utilities, grading, and stormwater management. * Ability to lead project design efforts and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, agencies, and project teams. * Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and consultants. * Ability to identify project risks and develop practical solutions. * Working knowledge of permitting and entitlement processes throughout Virginia. * Experience reviewing engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents. * Ability to mentor and support the development of less experienced staff. * Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Ability to travel up to 10% for project and client needs. Education & Experience * Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering required. * Professional Engineer (PE) license required. * Minimum 4 years required, 6+ years preferred, of civil engineering experience focused on land development projects. * Experience leading design efforts and coordinating permitting activities for site development projects. * Experience working within an engineering consulting environment preferred. Location: Warrenton, VA Virginia Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership opportunities.
