Summary of Job Duties:Little Rock Athletics seeks an Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning who will be responsible for planning, organizing, coaching and implementing all phases of a Division I athletic strength and conditioning program with emphasis on the safety and personal welfare of the student-athletes. All duties and responsibilities are governed by state, federal and university policy Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION /OR EXPERIENCE:

oBachelor's Degree;

oCertification that is current and valid through either the NSCA (CSCS) or the CSCCa (SCCC);

PREFERRED EDUCATION/OR EXPERIENCE:

oMaster's Degree;

oExperience at the Division I level

oExperience with Men's and/or Women's Basketball

oExperience managing a Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning staff

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

oOversees the entire strength and conditioning program for 15 varsity athletic teams consisting of 235student-athletes.

oOversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of team and individual workouts in the areas of flexibility, lifting, running, and testing, among other areas.

oServes as primary Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning Coach for flagship Men's and Women's Basketball programs'.

oCommunicates and collaborates with head coaches about individual and team development.

oCreates appropriate reports and tracking mechanisms of strength, speed, and conditioning test results, athlete nutritional analyses, and other data as necessary.

oRemains knowledgeable of current trends and advances in the area of strength and conditioning (i.e., new technology).

oResponsible for budget management for Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning, including allocation of resources, equipment and supplement purchase and replacement planning.

oCollaborates with the Sports Medicine staff to ensure proper protocol regarding student-athlete injuries and rehabilitations.

oOversees, manages and supervises full-time Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning staff and graduate assistants. Supervision includes selection, training, evaluation, and professional development and management of all subordinates.

oTeach and demonstrate proper exercise techniques, ensuring safety, and correcting mistakes to prevent injury;

oWorks to help implement nutrition programs and dietary education plans for all sport programs

oOther duties as assigned.

oKnowledge of NCAA, Conference and University rules;

oBudget Management and Procedures;

oAbility to work flexible hours, nights/weekends and travel
