Responsibilities
Job Overview
Working within the North America Sales and Marketing team, this role will be responsible for identifying, designing developing, and selling customer applications in industrial fastener markets in North America. The successful candidate must be able to effectively complete customer and technical analysis to develop applications that respond to customer needs and provide innovative solutions to customer problems in relation to fasteners and fastener systems. This role will primarily focus on new market penetration and customer and segment expansion within traditional markets.
Responsibilities
Actively manage commercial projects in collaboration with the North America HFS Sales Team based on customer needs, with the support of the engineering and manufacturing teams. Qualify leads, establish contact, identify, analyze and design appropriate offers of product to new and existing customers, applications and market segments. Works across sales and marketing functional areas to identify the value proposition, addressable market size, competitive technologies, channels of sale, and the resources required to develop and execute marketing plan. Continually evaluate and update methods of establishing contact with customers (tradeshows, websites, industry-based research, publications) Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement methods for accurately assessing customer satisfaction levels. Work with Product Management function and Engineering Director to identify and develop and successfully launch new products to address applications specific to renewable and other new markets. Evaluate, coordinate and recommend ideas and provide suggestions for new products through careful customer evaluation and technical expertise. Work with customers to prepare the implementation of HFS Industrial products into their applications. Lead customer trials of new products and ensure commercial and technical evaluations are completed. Works with product engineers and sales team to build and analyze cost price for new and special products to maximize volume and profitability. Support marketing to perform margin analysis on existing products. Regularly visit new and prospective customers to establish and increase our position in correlation with their projects and goals. Collate and share new applications, best practices and technical solutions for target markets to the broader sales team Create and provide customer training on products, applications, tooling, installation and other topics as needed Provide market / trend /competition information to sales and engineering with recommendations for management decisions. Support and perform customer trials and demonstrations, support new product trials with customers and provide detailed feedback to sales, product management, engineering and operations Comply with all internal reporting in line with corporate expectations

Qualifications
Qualifications
Degree in Business, Engineering or related technical field Experience working within industrial fastener consuming sector highly desirable - 5+ years experience in outside sales or product management
Background in the fastener/nut & bolt industry preferred Energetic with a tenacious approach Methodical approach with a strong eye for detail Excellent problem solving abilities with the ability to think outside the box and develop new approaches Able to prioritize effectively and escalate issues as appropriate IT skills - excel, word, powerpoint, CRM Excellent communication - both written & verbal Effective in managing the demands of both the business and the customer Able to build strong and effective working relationships at all levels and both externally as well as internally Confident in delivering presentations of a technical nature Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a complex working environment Capable of working under pressure to achieve targets Ability to develop technical knowledge Able to travel extensively
