Security Officer - Entry Check Driver

As a Security Officer - Entry Check Driver in Sugar Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and document activity while staying highly visible and ready to respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and/or distribution location.
• Control access at gates, doors, and loading areas by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and/or badging, issuing directions, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries and contractor activity, help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, and report irregular activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete required logs and reports, communicate key information during shift handoffs, and maintain awareness of alarms, cameras, and access control systems to support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
