Security Officer - Warehouse - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Warehouse - Full Time in Markham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office, data, and/or operational areas, including building interiors, loading and delivery zones, and perimeter routes as assigned, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns.
• Monitor access control points and visitor management processes, verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and documenting entries and exits per site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional resources when needed and communicating updates to site contacts.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol documentation, and shift activity notes, and support security-related systems monitoring such as cameras and alarms as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
