Location: REMOTE

(applicants must live in GA, FL, AL, MS, SC, or TN)
Hourly Compensation: $21 - $23 DOE

Work Schedule: Mo - Fr, Full-Time

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Revenue Cycle team by conducting quality assurance reviews. This position is responsible for evaluating compliance with approved processes and practices, ensuring that departmental standards are consistently met. The QA Specialist will communicate findings and provide constructive feedback to the management team, enabling continuous process improvement.

In addition to monitoring compliance, the QA Specialist will offer insights and suggestions aimed at enhancing both the quality and efficiency of departmental operations. By collaborating with team members and management, the QA Specialist helps drive improvements that positively impact overall performance within the department.

Responsibilities:
* Evaluate front-line staff work processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to departmental standards.
* Monitor quality assurance results and provide reports to management.
* Recognize concerns that may indicate a need for supplementary training.
* Foster constructive working relationships and facilitate clear communication.

Qualifications

Education & Industry Experience:
* High School diploma or GED required.

Required Experience:
* Strong proficiency using computer software, especially Microsoft Office programs like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written
* Knowledge of correct grammar and punctuation when drafting written documents

Preferred Experience:
* Experience with quality assurance processes
* Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid ambulance billing guidelines
* Experience with Smartsheet
* At least one year of EMS medical billing experience
* Experience working with the public
