Reports administratively to the Human Resources Manager at Yulista's Huntsville headquarters and functionally to the AFRC Program Manager for day-to-day contract support. The HR Generalist provides comprehensive human resources services for the Aircraft Operations Support (AOS) workforce at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC). Responsible for administering personnel actions, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits coordination for both exempt and bargaining unit employees under the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Ensures all HR activities comply with company policy, labor law, and contract-specific requirements.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
Conduct new-hire orientations, process onboarding forms, verify employment eligibility (E-Verify), and coordinate with Payroll and Corporate HR.
Employee Relations & CBA Administration
Serve as the onsite HR point of contact for AOS employees regarding policy interpretation, leave, payroll, and benefits inquiries.
Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on CBA-related matters, including grievance procedures, union dues deductions, and timekeeping practices.

None. Provides functional guidance to supervisors and employees on HR policy and labor-related matters. Coordinates with Corporate HR for complex or escalated issues.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Human Resources best practices, federal and state employment laws, and labor relations procedures.
- Demonstrated experience supporting a unionized workforce and administering Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
- Knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities; able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply HR policies, CBA provisions, and federal regulations.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote site environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of HR experience, including direct experience with union or CBA administration; aerospace or defense industry experience preferred.
- Systems: Experience using Workday HRIS or comparable platform.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with FLSA, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and general employment law compliance.
- Security: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Other: Must pass background and drug screening; travel to Corporate HQ or other sites may be required occasionally.
- A fast paced multi-tasking customer service oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance.
- Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities.
- Overtime may be required.
