THE ROLE:

We are seeking atechnical, hands-on engineerto leadDatacenter Server SoC post-silicon feature validation and enablementacross AMD's cutting-edge server products. This role spans the entire stack-fromsilicon SoC levelthroughBIOS, system firmware, and OS layers-ensuring robust functionality and performance.

You will collaborate closely withsilicon, firmware, and platform design teamsto develop and execute comprehensive validation plans duringemulation and post-silicon bring-up, debug complex SoC feature issues, and maintain the validation infrastructure that powers AMD's next-generation server solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and executefeature enablement and validation test plansfor SoC and system-level features across AMD Server products.
  • Performpost-silicon validationof criticalServer RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability)features.
  • Conductsystem-level experiments, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintainpost-silicon validation infrastructure, including scripts, automation frameworks, hardware setups, and lab environments.
  • Validateinteractions between SoC featuresusing advanced test infrastructure.
  • Collaborate across AMD teams toenhance validation strategies, methodologies, and processes.
  • Thrive in afast-paced, high-demand environment, applying real-time problem-solving and critical thinking.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong understanding ofPC architectureandmicroprocessor cores.
  • Familiarity withmodern x86 microprocessor and server platform architecture.
  • Proven experience invalidation methodology developmentand infrastructure design.
  • Hands-on experience withtest planning, test development, andsilicon bring-up/debug.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive program success.
  • Advanceddebugging skillsat both SoC and system levels.
  • Proficiency inPythonor similar scripting languages.
  • Working knowledge ofLinux and Windows server operating systems.
  • Self-starter with excellentcommunication skillsand minimal supervision requirements.
  • Forward-thinking mindset focused onprocess improvement, code architecture, and fostering innovation.
  • Strongverbal and written English communication.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of industry-standard interfaces:DDR, PCIe, CXL.
  • Hands-on experience withlab equipment(protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
  • Ability toself-organize and multitaskeffectively.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree or higherin Electrical/Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Science.
  • 4+ years of experiencein SoC validation and debug.
