Cnc Operator

Start Time is 2:00pm until 10:00pm.

Primary Duties:

• Able to read blueprints, micrometers, etc.
• Operate and adjust CNC lathes, CNC mill and auxiliary equipment
• Remove and reset tooling or otherwise adjust machine as required. Assure all parts are produced with minimum burrs, if any. Manually clean and deburr parts. Handle specialty parts with care.
• Responsible for keeping all tooling used in the area inventoried and organized in the mini-cribs
• Must meet the performance requirements in a 90-day evaluation
• Must maintain proficient productivity and set-up requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficient computer skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to effectively work with people in a team environment
• Understand part numbers and be able to read them.
• Detail oriented. Good judgment to comply with instructions and standard procedures, methods, or practices.
• Understand and be able to work with and around chemicals
• If have not attended basic shop, will be required to attend next class.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuously lifting and moving very light weight material (1-5 lbs.)

• Frequently lifting and moving average weight material (5-50 lbs)

• Occasional lifting and moving heavy weight material up to (50 lbs. +) with assistance.

• Standing continuously at a machine.
