Security Officer - Warehouse Gatekeeper

As a Security Officer - Warehouse Gatekeeper in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and employees, verify credentials, manage visitor and delivery logs, and monitor entry points and cameras to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site leaders. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entrances and exit points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and driver logs.
• Support dock and yard operations by screening incoming and outgoing trucks, monitoring trailer and seal information, and documenting shipping and receiving activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior perimeter, warehouse zones, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
