As a Security Officer - Days in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear communication and service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating guest issues and coordinating with mall management and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and mall activity, observe for policy violations, and complete written and/or electronic reports and incident documentation.
• Support loss prevention and crowd management efforts during peak shopping periods and special events by providing high-visibility presence and directing guests to appropriate resources.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
