Overview

NV5 is currently seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Authority to join our Mission Critical team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and well versed in commissioning, facility engineering, construction, and operations of Data Centers. Duties and responsibilities related to this position are listed below.



Responsibilities

    Responsible for the technical delivery both as a project lead and technical resource with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members.
  • Lead and maintain commissioningm schedules including daily standup, 3-week look ahead and project specific resource loading.
  • Lead and organize the quality control and electrical testing teams on Mission Critical projects.
  • Manage the logistics for resource needs including staffing and test equipment specific to the project.
  • Facilitate issue resolution of testing failures.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in mechanical building systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
  • Able to work as part of a team, think creatively, and problem solve.
  • Willingness to travel 75%+ as national level projects dictate.

Considered a Plus:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Commissioning Certification
