What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor public-facing areas and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and/or other policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and established reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and other access points for irregularities.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, including timely notifications to supervisors and on-site contacts as required.
  • Assist with crowd management and queue control during high-traffic periods, meetings, and/or public service operations.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarms, and report unusual activity per site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, emergency responders, and/or law enforcement when coordination is required.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather response, and shelter-in-place activities as directed by post orders.
  • Comply with applicable government facility rules, confidentiality expectations, and Allied Universal standards while performing daily duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
