Job Description




As a Security Officer - Shopping Plaza Patrol Driver in Rosemount, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced retail distribution location as an unarmed Patrol Officer. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access points and visitor check-ins, and communicate clearly with team members and site staff. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle and your valid driver's license to patrol designated areas while delivering friendly, service-focused support with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance and completing required notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points for employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers, verifying authorization and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Perform security-related screening of visitors and deliveries in accordance with post orders, including maintaining visitor logs and issuing temporary credentials when applicable.
  • Observe, document, and report suspicious behavior, property damage, hazards, and policy violations, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems when assigned, and communicate findings to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Support loading dock and yard operations by observing trailer and container activity, checking seals when assigned, and reporting irregularities.
  • Provide escort services for employees, visitors, and/or contractors when requested and within post guidelines.
  • Complete accurate and timely written reports, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff notes.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services, and/or medical responders during incidents as directed by site procedures.
  • Maintain a professional presence, follow uniform standards, and comply with all Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
