As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with onsite leadership and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report concerns according to post orders and site procedures.
  • Control access to restricted areas when directed, including verifying identification and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete security-related reports and required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity summaries.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using radios, phones, and/or other systems to relay information, request assistance, and coordinate response activities.
  • Assist with directing foot and/or vehicle traffic during high-volume periods, special events, or emergency conditions as assigned.
  • Perform site-specific rounds and checks of doors, gates, and common areas, reporting maintenance issues and/or hazards to appropriate personnel.
  • Support the protection of property and assets by observing, reporting, and escalating suspicious activity in line with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
