Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment. Your presence and professionalism will support a positive experience for staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires carrying a firearm while remaining visible, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect people and property.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to situations that may require the use of armed intervention, following all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
