As a Security Officer - Media Facility Patrol in Carleton, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues within the location, following established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Document incidents and daily activities accurately in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required, following escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
