Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Rounds in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities or incidents according to established procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and/or issues in daily reports or logs as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or have an associate degree or 60 college credits or possess a police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
