Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Document observations, occurrences, and incidents according to Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain knowledge of site-specific protocols and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
