Business Analysis Specialist

PPG is looking for a Business Analysis Specialist to join our team! This role is a part of PPG's Protective & Marine Coatings (PMC) Front Line IT organization. You will help drive digital transformation across PMC by shaping systems, data solutions, and process improvements. These improvements directly improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You will have opportunities to develop into a business function specialist or technology specialist with access to mentorship, exposure to enterprise systems, and global responsibilities. You will work hybrid at our General Office in Pittsburgh, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams including Corporate IT COEs (SAP, Data & Analytics, Digital) and business functions (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement)
• Gather, clarify, and document business requirements to ensure IT solutions align with PMC strategy and operational needs.
• Support and maintain global and regional custom applications, coordinating with internal teams and 3rd party providers as required.
• Explore and promote AI/ML opportunities in partnership with PMC leadership, helping identify use cases and support pilots
• Drive process improvement initiatives, provide facilitation for priority-setting, and define project scope and design.
• Serve as a business function or technology specialist, becoming a trusted partner and advisor to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of relative experience
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Experience with requirements gathering techniques
• Familiarity with process mapping tools and methodologies
• Comfort working with waterfall, agile and hybrid delivery models
• Facilitation and stakeholder management experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
• Experience implementing or supporting ERP and data analytics systems is preferred.
