Overview
The Vermont Department of Health Laboratory is looking for a highly motivated person to join our Information Systems support team to help with the technical support for our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and the Lab Web Portal (LWP). Major job duties:

This position, Business Application Support Specialist - Limited Service (Job Requisition #54146), is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting. Private means of transportation should be available for required travel. The role involves intensive interaction with departmental staff to include officials who may advocate strongly for their programs. Must be able to communicate and interact directly with employees at varying degrees of system skill sets as well as varying levels of authority. Conflicting priorities and operational problems may be anticipated; competing priorities and tight deadlines are a frequent occurrence. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years technical level experience working in a business environment using an enterprise application system. OR Associates degree in business or computer science AND four (4) years experience at a technical level working in a business environment using an enterprise application system. OR Six (6) years experience at a technical level working in a business environment using an enterprise application system. Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of laboratory processes and health data systems experience. Total Compensation
