Director of Product, Analytics APIs & Channels

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)
$167,000 - $278,300
life insurance, 401(k)
United States, New York, New York
Jan 12, 2026

We are seeking a Director of Product for Analytics APIs & Channels to lead the strategy, roadmap and execution of LSEG's next-generation analytics ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining how customers access, compute on, and extract value from LSEG's industry-leading financial data - through modern APIs, SDKs, analytics engines, and interoperability standards that drive real customer workflows.

You will lead a cross-functional product portfolio spanning:

  • Analytics APIs & developer tooling

  • Data delivery and consumption layers

  • Cloud-native analytics pipelines

  • Query and compute frameworks

  • Interoperability and semantic alignment (including MCP and OpenAPI-based schemas)

  • "AI-ready content" preparation (framed as structuring and modernizing analytics, not AI product ownership)

  • Data modelling & metadata standardization

  • High-performance analytics for fixed income, equities, macro, and multi-asset workflows

Reporting to senior leadership within LSEG's Data & Analytics division, you will shape how LSEG serves quant researchers, portfolio managers, risk teams, fintech builders and enterprise developers - enabling seamless access to analytics at scale.

This is a high-visibility leadership role that partners closely with Engineering, Sales, CTO, Content & Methodologies, and major enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define the long-term strategy for LSEG's Financial Analytics platform, ensuring world-class data access, computation, performance and developer experience.

  • Drive modernization of analytics delivery through APIs, SDKs, and cloud-native compute.

  • Set the vision for interoperability across datasets and analytics libraries, ensuring consistency, clarity and strong semantics.

  • Lead the evolution of analytics content to be "AI-ready" - i.e., well-structured, well-documented, interoperable, and easily consumed by both humans and automated systems.

Portfolio Leadership

  • Own roadmap, prioritization, and execution for multiple product lines across analytics APIs, developer tooling, and compute frameworks.

  • Partner with Content & Methodology experts to ensure analytics definitions, calculations and metadata are accurate, consistent and transparent.

  • Work with Engineering leaders to deliver scalable, low-latency analytics services across cloud regions.

Developer Experience & Tools

  • Define best-in-class developer experience for analytics integration including SDKs, documentation, code samples, testing suites and workflow templates.

  • Champion simplification - reducing time-to-first-insight and enabling customers to prototype faster.

  • Ensure analytics products meet enterprise-grade requirements for reliability, performance, governance and versioning.

Customer & Market Alignment

  • Engage directly with top-tier banks, hedge funds, asset managers and fintechs to understand their analytics workflows and pain points.

  • Identify emerging market needs across quant research, portfolio construction, risk modelling, and macro analytics.

  • Drive customer adoption and satisfaction through continuous improvement and roadmap transparency.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Engineering, Data Operations, FinTech partnerships and the Microsoft partnership teams to align product strategy and go-to-market execution.

  • Partner with CTO & Architecture teams to ensure analytics workloads leverage modern infrastructure and meet security & compliance requirements.

  • Contribute to LSEG's broader transformation agenda, influencing standards across data access, APIs, cloud delivery and modelled content.

Governance, Standards & Quality

  • Establish and enforce standards for analytics quality, metadata, lineage and correctness.

  • Oversee versioning and change-management processes to ensure backward compatibility and transparency.

  • Advocate for responsible data use, governance, and operational excellence across analytics solutions.

Skills & Competencies

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in financial data, investment analytics, quant platforms, market data distribution or developer-facing products.

  • Strong understanding of analytics used across buy-side and sell-side workflows (fixed income, equities, macro, ESG, multi-asset).

  • Experience with APIs, SDKs, cloud compute frameworks, and developer ecosystems.

  • Ability to translate complex analytics and data models into simple, intuitive products.

  • Skilled at influencing across engineering, commercial, operations and content teams.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate a compelling product vision.

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), distributed compute or modern query engines.

  • Understanding of semantic models, data lineage, metadata standards, and schema governance.

  • Familiarity with analytics delivery via notebooks, scripting environments, workflow automation, or low-code tools.

  • Hands-on comfort with Python, SQL, or modern scripting languages (not as an engineer, but as a fluent partner for technical teams).
