Examinations may take place on-site at insurance companies, in-house at the Insurance Department's office, or while teleworking from home. Work involves learning how to review insurance companies' files and electronic records, such as policy forms, claims, consumer complaints, underwriting and rating practices, marketing and sales materials, producer licensing, operations and management, and policyholder services information to determine compliance during the course of a market conduct project. You will be responsible for identifying violations of statutes, regulations, and adjudications; ensuring examiners involved in the project secure and retain copies of documentation and evidence to support findings of violations; and evaluating claims processing procedures, ensuring producers possess appropriate and valid licenses. You will also have the opportunity to prepare detailed reports of findings, identify any deficiencies, and provide specific recommendations for corrective actions. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you may also be required to provide testimony during administrative hearings to further support findings. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
