DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a member of the skilled workforce at Linn Run State Park Complex, you will engage in various tasks essential for the park's operation and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include the repair and upkeep of vehicles, machinery, buildings, and equipment. This encompasses routine mechanical maintenance on park vehicles, such as changing filters, belts, and oil, as well as more intricate tasks like brake repairs and tune-ups. Additionally, you will be involved in electrical work, which entails installing and repairing outlets, lights, and electrical services for cabins. Your plumbing duties will involve the installation and maintenance of fixtures and water lines, while carpentry tasks will require you to repair doors and windows, replace logs and flooring, and conduct roof repairs. Finally, you will perform welding tasks, fabricating and repairing bridge structures using various techniques and operating construction equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week, 5 days per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Work will be required on weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
