Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This role involves supporting large-scale hardware deployments, imaging and configuring devices, and maintaining accurate asset records using MS Excel. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively within a small team that travels to multiple sites. Key Responsibilities: * Participate in large-scale hardware deployment projects, including setup, configuration, and installation of desktops, laptops, and peripherals across multiple locations. * Image and deploy devices to the network using standardized processes, ensuring proper configuration, printer mapping, and compliance with organizational policies. * Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation by navigating, updating, and modifying MS Excel spreadsheets for inventory and deployment records. * Provide deskside and remote support for hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as needed. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of deployment schedules and adherence to quality standards. * Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity, peripheral setup, and application installations during deployment activities. Qualifications: * Prior experience supporting hardware deployments in a multi-site environment. * Strong knowledge of imaging and deployment tools for Windows-based systems. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for record keeping and asset management. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a traveling team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hyattsville, MD. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
