Inova Health is looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer 3 to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time day-shift from Monday - Friday.

The DevOps Engineer 3 is a senior-level role responsible for designing and implementing advanced DevOps solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and driving automation initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise and leadership in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices.

DevOps Engineer 3 Responsibilities:

  • Designs and optimizes CI/CD pipelines across enterprise applications.
  • Leads infrastructure automation initiatives using Terraform, Bicep, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators.
  • Implements and manages GitOps-driven workflows for platform services.
  • Mentors junior engineers and provides technical guidance.
  • Collaborates with cybersecurity and architecture teams to ensure secure deployments.
  • Drives observability and monitoring improvements across DevOps platforms.
  • Contributes to platform APIs and developer enablement tooling.
  • Reviews pipelines for security compliance, automation quality, and alignment with enterprise DevOps standards
  • Acts as technical owner for one or more DevOps platform domains (e.g., CI/CD, GitOps, observability).
  • Designs solutions that balance security, scalability, cost efficiency, and developer experience.
  • Leads technical design reviews and establishes best practices for DevOps implementations.
  • Drives reduction of toil through automation and platform self-service capabilities.
  • Partners with SRE, Security, and Architecture teams to continuously improve platform resilience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering, or platform engineering. Expertise in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code.
