Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the School of Communication and Information.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Provides administrative support for graduate degree and non-degree programs, including serving as administrative student support for the school's doctoral program.
- Provides advising and support to master's and doctoral students in areas of academic policies and procedures, degree certification, and student engagement.
- Receives some work instruction and tasks from graduate program directors and shares responsibility with the Graduate Student Counselor for advising and processing of the school's graduate student population.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- A bachelor's degree in communication, psychology, counseling, education, social work, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of academic advising, student support services, and student development.
- A minimum of two years relevant experience in program coordination or administration function, good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- In participating in event management and office organization, this position will be required to lift boxes and other items up to 25 pounds, move mobile furniture such as tables on wheels or folding chairs.
