Principal Strategist - Corporate Strategy Research and Development (Hybrid)

You will develop the organization's strategic plan(s) to ensure its continued successful growth and profitability. You will conduct environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses and other studies to conceptualize, prototype, design, test, and/or execute ideas resulting in new and viable business offerings to build a sustainable competitive advantage and optimize value and experience for the customer.

You will report to the Director, Strategy Research and Development.

Depending on qualifications, candidates may be considered at different levels (Strategist, Lead Strategist, or Principal Strategist).

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 50 miles of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.

Position Compensation Range:

$131,000.00 - $220,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities:
  • Work will include the development of strategy and the supporting research in markets/trends.
  • Leads the integration of strategy at a brand level including strategic initiative identification and maintenance of short- and/or long-term focus, priority, and needs capabilities.
  • Partners with key leadership and stakeholders to create and recommend enterprise-wide strategy development based on external industry and economic trends, internal capabilities, and business performance.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching, and guidance to team members.
  • Manages large, multi-divisional and cross-entity projects, and effective communication within the project.
  • Ensures periodic reviews of achievements and performance vs. strategic plans are completed.


Requirements:
  • You will bring your prior experience with corporate strategy. Exposure to AI and managing complex projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience developing business strategy by working directly with executive and senior management as either an internal or external management consultant.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating business trends and developing new business programs and strategies in response.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting complex concepts to senior leadership and influencing decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated experience solving business problems through leadership of cross functional teams.
