Title: AI Risk Advisor Role Summary: The AI Risk Advisor serves as an embedded resource within the AI Center Of Excellence to guide the model owners in drafting proposals, preparing validation evidence, and aligning with governance standards, supporting the line of business and model owners in responsibly adopting AI. This role ensures that AI initiatives meet governance, risk and compliance standards while enabling scalable and ethical innovation. Essential Functions:
- Facilitate responsible, risk-aware AI/ML lifecycle across the firm aligning with internal standards and regulatory expectations, with a particular focus on Generative AI adoption.
- Evaluate AI vendor proposals for feasibility, risk appetite alignment, data privacy, and ethical standards.
- Guide team responsible for AI solutions in preparing model validation documentation, including conceptual soundness, data quality, and outcome analysis benchmarks, as applicable.
- Vet the viability of execution with available tools and resources.
- Assess compliance risks related to model transparency, training data provenance, intellectual property, privacy, regulatory obligations, and contractual rights.
- Establish responsible AI & ML best practices aligning with risk management expectations, with a particular focus on Generative AI.
- Provide hands-on support for second-line engagements including but not limited to documentation and testing automation.
- Consult on enterprise AI governance including relevant first-line governing documents (e.g., acceptable use and risk appetite).
- Curate and author relevant curriculum and training content for developers and business-line adopters.
- Support and execute change management strategies and enterprise-wide AI acumen building.
- Provide feedback on business case clarity, feasibility, and alignment with enterprise goals.
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or Business Analytics (or related field)
- 5-10 years progressive related experience in risk management, model, analytics, business intelligence, data and/or AI.
- Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, model risk, and governance frameworks.
- Applied research in the areas of emerging methods including natural language-driven system design, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating the performance of language-based models.
- Experience in vendor evaluation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with AI-enablement tools like Google Vertex AI, Copilot Studio, and ServiceNow is a plus.

Physical Demands:
- General Office: Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in-person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
Driving/Travel:
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000.00 - $146,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
