ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Ensure all new referrals are logged and entered into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner.
  2. Screen and triage all referrals.
  3. Ability to respond to crisis related calls, triage, and determine appropriate level of support.
  4. Ability to organize and prioritize work so as to perform assigned duties independently.
  5. Work closely with program staff to schedule assessment appointments within county timeliness requirements and prioritize access for urgent referrals.
  6. Determine and confirm eligibility of all new intakes prior to initial appointment.
  7. Maintain integrity of the clinical information entered into the EMR.
  8. Complete the disposition status on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System for all referrals, after determining eligibility for services.
  9. Ensure all logs and required reports are maintained and updated.
  10. Interact with community partners to receive and make referrals. Links those referrals that can be served in a lower level of care in the community such as to a primary care setting.
  11. Provide direct services, including case management and rehab services, to clients including providing intake support at the beginning of service and support with appropriate linkage to additional resources as needed.
  12. Provide direct services in the clinic, and in the community, including individual and group treatment, case management, and consultation, as necessary.
  13. Meet directly with clients to complete initial admission documentation and enter new program enrollment in the EMR system.
  14. Maintain appropriate documentation as per Medi-cal guidelines and other contract guidelines and submit all documentation and billing as it relates to client services in a timely manner.
  15. Employees shall follow the reporting requirements for incidents of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Adult Abuse, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Tarasoff warnings per California reporting laws.
  16. Attend and participate in staff meetings and staff training.
  17. Will think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  18. Will drive on Agency business (personal and company vehicle) and transport clients as needed.
  19. Physical presence at the program is required.


ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS



  1. Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science, or a bachelor's degree in related field that is directly related to the specific responsibilities of the job.
  2. Three (3) years' experience in the mental health field, with experience with the major diagnosis listed in the DSM 5, and the ability to identify the diagnosis and severity, or a master's degree in a behavioral science related field (i.e., psychology, MSW, etc.).
  3. Demonstrated knowledge in mental health services with minors, adults, and/or families.
  4. Knowledge of mental illness and effective treatment approaches to mental disorders.
  5. Experience with co-occurring substance use disorders and treatment modalities.
  6. Ability to operate within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken Spanish is preferred.
  8. Intermediate computer skills in Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
  9. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
  10. Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  11. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and TB test.


ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR BILINGUAL SKILL



  1. Communicate effectively in written and spoken Spanish.
  2. Required ability to communicate effectively with monolingual Spanish speaking clients and families for all clinical purposes.
  3. Assist with phone calls for Spanish clients.
  4. Required to provide language translations for staff on a periodic basis.
  5. Minimal adequate competency in the Spanish language as evidenced by successful passage of the TPOCC Spanish Competency Test.
  6. Other translation tasks as required

    • Monolingual: Class 125 ($20.11 - $26.46/hour)
    • Bilingual: Class 130 ($21.13 - $27.81/hour)
