Introduction to the job

Join ASML in San Diego as a Senior Quality Engineer and help shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing. Your work will keep our extreme ultraviolet (EUV) systems performing at the highest standards. You will improve parts and process quality, strengthen reliability, and support customer success across the factory.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will drive cross-functional improvement initiatives. You will use data, structured methods, and clear communication to prevent issues, solve problems, and sustain results. Your impact will support ASML's mission to accelerate innovation that advances the world.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supplier teams. You lead quality planning, analysis, and improvement for EUV parts and processes.

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action activities.
  • Facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions and risk ranking workshops.
  • Build quality dashboards and reports to track Statistical Process Control (SPC) metrics.
  • Analyze process performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and execute internal assessments; prepare for external audits to ISO 9001.
  • Map and evaluate processes; deliver Lean improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and drive alignment on priorities and timelines.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering (master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of eight (8) years in quality engineering within manufacturing or high-tech hardware.
  • Proven experience with Statistical Process Control, regression, and design of experiments.
  • Hands-on with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, and control plans.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 and audit preparation; internal audit certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting using Python, Minitab, and Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience leading Lean and Six Sigma projects; Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$94,125-156,875

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
