SUMMARY: The Deputy General Counsel is a licensed attorney who reports to the General Counsel and has responsibility for assigned legal matters of the corporation, with a strong emphasis on real estate, government service contracts and employment law. Serves as a legal advisor to The Tatitlek Corporation and its subsidiaries and ensures that the corporation is operating within the law and with minimal risk at all times. This position requires an attorney who can multi-task and rapidly address clients' needs with little supervision or outside support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervises Contracts staff and others as assigned. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE: Required: * Real estate experience (lease / purchase and sale) required. Preferred: * Risk / Safety experience a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong communication skills, able to work with internal and external clients in a collaborative manner. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervise Legal and/or Contracts staff as needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Some ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS: Must have the ability to pass a satisfactory background screening and have positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
