Description

Based in our Andover, MA office, this position focuses on WiFI, GPS, and Switch products within the RMI ( RF and Mixed-Signal Intelligence )Business Unit. Responsible for creating a product pipeline including, product definition, design, manufacturing, quality, test, and marketing activities through the product life cycle. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Focus Product areas: WiFi FEM, GPS LNA and Switch
  • Focus market areas: Networking, and Multimarket
  • Serves as a key member of the BU team that sets strategic direction of the product line
  • Responsible for product cost models. Regularly interacts with finance to review product cost models and assure that NPI projects meet BU KPI's for revenue and profitability
  • The individual should be process driven working closely with marketing, sales and design teams to create compelling new products and solutions across a diverse set of customers.
  • Drives design teams for continuous improvement and incorporation of lessons learned.
  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors.
  • Engages marketing teams in development of product roadmaps and reviews of new product proposals.
  • Interfaces directly with technology team to drive new technology developments and improvements to address product roadmap needs.
  • Regularly interacts with executive and/or major customers. Interactions normally involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers.
  • Steers the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the business unit and broader company having overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs



Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplaine with 10 years of RF semiconductor experience.
  • Exceptional communication, oral and written skills, including crisp, efficient, presentation techniques
  • Ability to maintain focus, composure and provide leadership under time pressure, dealing with demanding internal and external customers, and other sources of stress
  • Able and willing to travel across the multiple sites to communicate policy, provide quarterly business updates, future development plans and set strategic vision for BU product management and applications teams.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $129,400 - $247,800 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
