Location Address: 1010 Spruce Street , Espanola, New Mexico 87532-2724, United States of AmericaType of Opportunity: Part timeFTE: 0.4Summary: Divide clinical time between the Presbyterian Espanola Hospital (PEH) PMG Renewal Clinic and the PEH Addiction Medicine Consult Service (inpatient and emergency department), treating patients with multiple substance use disorders both in-person and via telemedicine.* Although it is anticipated that the APC positions will primarily be assigned to the Renewal Clinic, assignment and scheduling to the AMCS vs. Renewal Clinic will be adapted as the service line grows to best fit the needs of the AMCS and Renewal Clinic, taking advantage of the individual APCAs training, experience, skills and preferences. For example: * An APC with a primary background in family medicine may be assigned primarily to the Renewal Clinic, seeing adult patients, but may be tasked with assisting the inpatient consultation service. * An APC with a primary background in emergency medicine or other hospital-based patient care may be tasked more often than other APCAs with assisting on the AMCS. Responsibilities: * Provide care to patients in PEH Renewal Clinic, and while serving on the PEH AMCS, to patients on the inpatient units (including L&D) and the ED as assigned. * Staff patients in all clinical areas with attending physician until approved to manage patients independently on that service. As an APC in the PEH Renewal Clinic: Additional outpatient services via telemedicine: As a member of the PEH Addiction Medicine Consultation Service (AMCS): Consultation via telemedicine: In general, APC's on the AMCS and Renewal Clinic will: Additional Job Description: Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, ANCC or AANP certification required. Minimum of two years experience preferred but not required.Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required.
