Wieland is hiring a Regional Sales Manager. The Regional Sales Manager will report to and partner directly with the the Vice President, Commercial. They will oversee and manage all commercial aspects of the Wieland ForgeWorks business. This position will also be responsible for formulating and executing the strategic Go-To-Market strategy. They will assist with strategic business planning, market intelligence, and forecasting for the business unit. This includes developing the Go-To-Market strategy, budgeted sales volumes, margins, nurturing and expanding customer relationships, and driving key customer relations. They will also have responsibility for strategic account management and related sales activities for Brass Rod within the specified geographic region (FL, AL, NC, SC) providing excellence in sales and support to area customers with a strong emphasis on generating new leads for existing core products and newly developed specialty products. This role is located in Montpelier, OH and will be fully remote.
Responsibilities
Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Go-To-Market Strategy for the ForgeWorks business unit and the brass rod business in defined geography.

- Utilizes data-driven decision-making to assess market trends, identify expansion opportunities, and craft strategies to capitalize on them.

- Provide strategic direction and support to sales team for the go to market fundamentals, strategies, and expectations within the sales structure for ForgeWorks.
- Assist with the strategic direction and ensure the successful execution of the sales and marketing programs for ForgeWorks.
- Business Results: Assist with developing annual budgets and achieve targeted sales volumes and margins for the business unit. Establish sales goals and forecasts and evaluate performance against plans for both volume and fabrication.
- Customer Relationships: Oversee all customer strategies, plans, and relationships within the business unit, supported by the team.
- Pricing & Agreements: Lead and facilitate customer agreements, including pricing arrangements. Conduct competitive analysis to inform pricing policies and contract strategies, product positioning, and go-to-market plans to increase market share.
- Business Development: Identify and drive business development opportunities in collaboration with the Business Development, Sales, Operations and Marketing teams.
- Assist with the management of product development manager to maximize customer acquisition, pricing and operational efficiencies'.
- Intel: Gather and disseminate market intelligence, track, and report on competitive activities, and determine the most effective distribution channels.
- Forecast: Oversee and manage the commercial forecasting and S&OP process for the business unit, with support from the team.
- People: Define sales coverage and go-to-market strategy. Lead, develop, and manage commercial efforts, including overseeing talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, and succession planning for the business unit.
- Provide sales coverage and strategic account management for the defined Territory. Enhance and maintain strong customer relations of existing area accounts through personal visitation and regular communication.
- Identify and pursue new sales leads for core Wieland Chase products and emerging specialty brass products to include Eco Brass Rod, Eco Brass / Eco Bronze Ingot, Eco Bronze bushing, bearing and forged components.
- Provide regular, timely and concise customer reports on customer activity and updates for our Alloy Forecast System.
- Work closely with inside sales, quality and supply chain contacts, support customer relationships and to provide a high level of service and responsiveness.
- Monitor pricing competitiveness, establish and execute supply contracts, maintain oversight of customer scrap return percentages and current credit.
- Provide both strategic and tactical insight and recommendations to Wieland Chase management with the goal of increasing sales and profitability for the organization.

Regional Sales Manager Qualifications:
- Domain and Industry Expertise: 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- A proven history of collaborating effectively across Operations, Quality and Supply Chain and be proficient with systems (ERP, APS) & applications (MS). S/he will have the demonstrated ability to understand and translate customer needs into revenue generation opportunities.
- Analytical mind-set: The candidate needs to be able to analyze data, and events to identify opportunities and address inefficiencies, while facilitating timely and effective decision-making based on thorough research, and sound judgment.
- Commercial Excellence and Growth Focused: The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of sales strategy which is shaped by a customer-centric approach. They will be adept at identifying opportunities and unmet needs, developing strong customer relationships, and leveraging field information to drive engagement and growth. BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of copper-based metals or related metals or technical processes preferred.
- Must have or exhibit the ability to recruit, train, manage and oversee talented and capable direct departmental employees.
- Works independently and is proficient to meet the goals and objectives of the corporation.
- Shall have proven and tangible organizational and time management skills and be willing to work extensive hours to accomplish corporate initiatives.
- Must possess a valid and non-encroached driver's license and the ability to obtain a US Passport
