We are hiring immediately for a Geospatial Analyst to join our team in Longmont, CO.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure tie and control points, run triangulation, process orthos and orthomosaics with both proprietary and COTS software, and review the final products for accuracy and quality.
  • Update and analyze digital elevation models using SocetSet.
  • Advise on best practices for acquiring and using new elevation datasets for orthorectification.
  • Provide feedback to direct the purchase and use of elevation data to improve product accuracy.
  • Train operators in new processes.
  • Partner with other teams in the company to make the best decisions on our elevation data.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor's degree ina geospatial discipline or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum of2 years ofexperience working with imagery, includingviewing, processing, manipulating,analyzing, etc.
  • Experience working with elevation models and ground control points
  • Knowledge of at least two of the following: various image processing software and open-source tools includingSocetSet, ERDAS Imagine, PCIGeomatica, ENVI, GDAL and QGIS
  • Understanding of triangulation, accuracy assessments, and use of supporting ground control points
  • Knowledge of raster formats/structure (tiff, JP2, compression types, bit depth)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of triangulation, block adjustment, digital ortho map compilation, stereo compilation, digital elevation data generation, and quality control
  • Knowledge of various image processing software and open source tools including SocetSet, ERDAS Imagine, PCI Geomatica, ENVI, GDAL and QGIS
  • Complete understanding of digital ortho map compilation and quality control
  • Complete understanding of triangulation, point mensuration, block adjustment, digital ortho map compilation, and quality control
  • Complete understanding of digital elevation models, their formats, uses and creation
  • Ability to perform DEM edits in SocetSet in a way that supports ortho production
  • Knowledge of raster formats/structure (tiff, JP2, compression types, bit depth)
  • Experience with AWS
  • Familiarity with geospatial COTs packages such as ArcGIS, PCI Geomatica, Global Mapper, Socket, ENVI, etc; as well as open source packages such as GDAL and QGIS
  • Python or other coding language experience a plus
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware problems

* The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
