2026-2027 Faculty-Master of Healthcare Administration

The Department of Healthcare Management is seeking adjunct instructors for an appointment in the Master of Healthcare Administration Program. All candidates must possess a meaningful blend of appropriate education and work experience in the relevant field, and demonstrate successful and well-documented online teaching experience.

Healthcare management is a growing, diverse field of study that incorporates business managerial functions in healthcare and in healthcare related environments. The profession offers flexibility and the potential for advancement with additional experience and further education. As important, this field of study offers the chance for graduates to have a positive influence on the healthcare of individuals and communities. Graduates have opportunities to work at entry-level positions in the following settings: assisted-living facilities, community and government agencies, health insurance companies, hospital departments, and long term care facilities.

Master's degree is required, Health Care or related field, from an accredited institution of higher learning. Professional experience in Health Services Management. Higher Education teaching experience preferred.

Work schedule varies depending on the class schedule

The Healthcare Management Department is seeking applicants who are capable of communicating clearly and effectively with students and colleges. Each applicant must be prepared and organized. All applicants are required to utilize Blackboard. Although training is available, experience is preferred.

A terminal degree (i.e. PhD, JD, DrPH, DHA,) from an accredited institution is preferred. Higher education teaching experience preferred.

Adequately prepare all course materials and lesson for healthcare administration course. Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, timelines, and approved syllabus. Provide engaging and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes. Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect. Complete grade books, mid-term and final grade submission, learning assessments and final exam assessments on a timely basis, and respond to student questions on a timely basis. ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
