Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal (NNP) at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, GA. Position Highlights:

Responsibilities:
- Provide care for infants and their families in the Delivery Room, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Step Down Nursery, Special Care Nursery and outpatient clinic
- Assist in the case management of complex neonatal patients through assessing, monitoring, and evaluating care
- Provide consultations for neonatal patients with issues such as fluid and electrolyte imbalances, ventilation issues, anemia, jaundice, necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), periventricular leukomalacia (PVL), intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN) and/or other unusual complication
- Promote preventative care and health maintenance through individual education and counseling
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree in nursing. Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Certification in the specialty required as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties)as a NNP from the National Certification Corporation (NCC)
- One year experience within the past 3 years as a Nurse Practitioner in a Neonatal Unit
- Any active state license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP life support certifications
